BulkForged tracks your bests three different ways, and each answers a different question.
Personal records is the full history — every time you've ever beaten a previous best, logged with the date it happened. Current records is just the answer to "what can I lift right now" — one row per exercise, showing only the standing best, not how you got there. A single exercise can carry more than one current record at once, since your heaviest weight and your most reps aren't always set in the same session.
An estimated one-rep max, shown as a dashed line on your exercise history chart, is different again: it's a training estimate calculated from your recent reps and weight, not something you actually lifted. It's tracked so you can watch the trend — it has its own row in Current records and its own filter option in Personal records, marked with a quiet ≈ rather than a medal — but it never triggers a celebration and never appears in the recent-PR strips. Only a weight you genuinely put on the bar does that. The one exception is a true single: if you actually lift one rep, that number is your one-rep max, not an estimate.
The very first time BulkForged sees your training history, it quietly records your existing bests as the starting line rather than celebrating all of them at once — from then on, only records you go on to beat get the full celebration.
