Does Boostcamp work with Garmin?
No, Boostcamp has no Garmin watch app and no Garmin sync. Its pages name one watch, the Apple Watch.
Boostcamp is where many lifters pick up GZCLP, PHUL or the Reddit PPL. This page covers what Boostcamp offers a Garmin owner, and how those programs run on a Garmin watch instead.

What does Boostcamp say about watches and health apps?
Its own pages disagree about the Apple Watch, and none of them mention Garmin.
- The features page says: "Boostcamp has an Apple Watch companion that mirrors active workouts and supports HealthKit-based heart rate logging on iOS."
- Its FAQ says the opposite. It asks "Does Boostcamp work with Apple Watch or Wear OS?" and answers "No, Boostcamp doesn't currently have an Apple Watch or Wear OS app."
- Its App Store listing adds two iPhone extras: bodyweight syncs with Apple Health, and Live Activities show your set and rest timer on the Lock Screen.
- Garmin, Wear OS and Health Connect appear on none of those pages.
So your Garmin and Boostcamp cannot be linked, on either phone.
Can a Garmin still help while you log in Boostcamp?
Only as a separate heart-rate record. Start Garmin's own Strength activity, then log the sets in Boostcamp on your phone.
- The sets, weights and progress stay in Boostcamp.
- The heart rate, calories and time sit in Garmin Connect, in a second record of the same workout.
- Nothing you log on the watch reaches Boostcamp.
Eight apps do log the sets on a Garmin itself. Best strength training apps for Garmin watches lines them up.
Can I run GZCLP, PHUL or the Reddit PPL on a Garmin?
Yes. All three are named programs in BulkForged, our app, and each training day runs on the watch.
Boostcamp's store listing names nSuns, GZCLP, 5/3/1, Reddit PPL, PHUL and PHAT among its programs. Three of those are in BulkForged:
- GZCLP: three days a week, a heavy, a moderate and a light lift each day.
- PHUL: four days, an upper and a lower power day, then an upper and a lower hypertrophy day.
- Reddit PPL: push, pull and legs, each twice across six days.
In the phone app, open Workouts, then Named programs, and apply one. Each training day becomes a routine, and the routines are on the watch the next time it syncs.

BulkForged's versions are shorter than the originals. Each program page says how it differs. GZCLP, for one, runs the first stage only, so a stalled lift holds its weight.
BulkForged is not affiliated with or endorsed by Boostcamp or any program author.
See PHUL set up in the phone app: a PHUL workout app that puts the weight up for you.
Can I log RPE or RIR on the watch?
RIR, yes, on the sets that ask for it. BulkForged has no RPE field.
- Boostcamp's workout tracker page says every set has fields for both RPE, from 5 to 10, and RIR.
- On the watch, the reps-in-reserve screen comes right after you confirm the reps. It runs from 0 to 5, and you can skip it.
- It is a note for you. It never changes your targets.

How do Boostcamp and BulkForged set your next weight?
Both move the weight from what you lifted. They differ on missed reps.
Boostcamp's workout tracker page says: "Finish your prescribed reps and Boostcamp bumps the working weight on your next session. Miss reps and it adjusts down."
Its version 266 release notes, from 2 October, add "Auto Progression (PRO)": "Get personalized weight targets that adjust based on your performance. Works with programs and empty workouts."
BulkForged sets the next targets when you finish each workout:¹
- On a fixed-rep lift, such as GZCLP's sets of three, every set at the listed reps puts the weight up next time.
- On a lift with a rep range, reps rise first. The weight goes up once every working set reaches the top.
- Missed reps never lower the weight for you. It holds, and you can lower any target yourself.

Can I bring my Boostcamp history?
No. BulkForged imports export files from Hevy and Strong, and Boostcamp is not one of them.
- Apply the same program in BulkForged. Its starting weights are light on purpose.
- In your first session, log the weight you really lift. That becomes your target.
- From there, each workout sets the next one from your own sets.¹

What can't BulkForged do that Boostcamp does?
BulkForged has far fewer programs, and no iPhone or Apple Watch app yet.
- Nine named programs, against Boostcamp's library of more than 11,000.
- No nSuns, and no full GZCLP with its later stages.
- No RPE field, and no app on iPhone yet. iPhone has a waitlist.
- Its watch app is for Garmin only: every supported model.
